Based on a true story, El Cid tells of a Spanish hero the Cid or El Campeador, whose true name was Rodrigo (or Ruy) Díaz de Vivar during the Spanish conquist from the Moors, when he fell into the disfavour of King Alfonso VI and had to leave his home and regain king’s favour. A Spanish classic adapted for children so they too can enjoy the tales of El Cid.
