Eight-year old Nerea is a spoiled child because of her heart condition. Her parents have overprotected her. Nerea’s grandfather, a sailor, says they must take her to Maimon, Blue Eyes, the ocean witch. The word witch scares Nerea who decides to escape with the mermaid to save her.
