Núria Homs Serra (Barcelona 1969) is an art historian who works in the Fundació Antoni Tàpies (a museum and a culture centre in Barcelona which promotes the study and knowledge of modern and contemporary art). Professionally she has published various articles about art and a book about the work of Antoni Tápies. In 1994 she published 'Una casa com un cabás' which was a finalist in the Premi Apel-les Mestres in 1995. That same year she won the Premio Lazarillo de Ilustración, which is the most important illustration award in Spain. She didn't write again for children until the discovery of a lion tamer finger-puppet rekindled her imagination. El domador miedoso was finalist in the 2006 Premio Apel•les Mestres.
