Lista de honor White Ravens
13-year-old Fran is shocked and confused when he sees his school friends returning from their summer holidays with lower voices, peach fuzz, and some centimetres taller than him. Because they are suddenly interested in girls while he still prefers to play football, he is terrified by the thought of becoming an outsider. The fast paced novel follows Fran, who - in his desperate need for recognition - increasingly entangles himself in a self-wrought net of white lies. The author relates the experiences and emotions of boys on the threshold betwen childhood and adolescence, plagued by insecurity and complexes, with realism and many comic situations and punch-lines.
The White Ravens Special Mention
