Ana Galán

(Oviedo, 1964)  She is the author of numerous children's books, in Spanish and English, novels for teenagers and humour books for adults. When she is not in front of her computer, Ana trains guide dogs for the blind. She also works with an NGO in the Dominican Republic, DREAM Project, helping to promote reading and writing to more than eight thousand children

“I was a skinny little girl who loved animals! In 1987, I became a Doctor in Veterinary. I worked for Cornell University as the surgeon on a research team. From 1999 to 2008 I worked for Scholastic becoming the editorial director of Spanish book publishing, and I edited over 400 books! In 2008 i decided to become a full time author and work on my own. “
