Elia Barceló

Elia Barceló (Elda, Alicante, 1957) is a writer, Doctor Hispanística and professor at the University of Innsbruck (Austria). She has published nineteen novels of various genres, nine of them for young readers. She has been translated into eighteen languages and she has received several literary awards, including the EDEBE Literature Award (which she has received it twice). For her, literature is a game, meaning "play" as something very funny and very serious for understanding the world. Greatly enjoys writing. Love the extraordinary, the mysteries, the secrets, the fantastic adventures that living through the written word, and authentic travel anywhere in the world. She is happily married and she has two children.
