Gabriel Janer Manila was born in Mallorca. He studied Teaching and Philosophy, finishing his studies with a doctorate in Education. His works, both for adults and children and Young-adults is very wide.
He has been awarded with several prestigious awards such as Premio Edebé of Children’s literature, the Josep Pla of Novels and the National Award for Young-adults literature given by the Ministry of culture.
Likewise, his prolific activity in education, writing for the media and publishing non-fiction works as well as his jobs in different public institutions have made of him a very important figure within the Spanish cultural sphere.
