Joel Franz Rosell was born in Cuba in 1954, where he lived until he moved to Brazil, Denmark and finally to France, where he currently lives, in Paris. Since very young he has been writing. At the age of 16 he already had written 6 stories. After graduating from language and literature at universitiy he obtained his first award, and since then he has been writting children literature or working as a literary critic. His works had been adapted to theatre, comic., TV soaps and radio. In edebé he had previously published a very succesful green tucan: La tremenda bruja de la Habana Vieja that was in our catalog for 10 years.
