P. Zubizarreta; J.K. Igerabide

Patxi Zubizarreta (Ordizia, Guipúzcoa, 1962) is a writer with a long career in children’s and young adults’ literature. He has published more than 20 books, all very successful in schools. His stories have been awarded several prizes both in Spanish and Basque language. His peculiar style enables him to obtain special recognition among booksellers, teachers and parents. He is also a translator and teacher and lives in Vitoria.

Juan Kruz Igerabide was born in Aduna (Guipúzcoa), in a little village near San Sebastián. He obtained a degree in Spanish Philology and taught in schools for several years. Later he did his PhD in Basque Philology and began to work at the University of the Basque Country. He started writing poetry for adults and then gradually got into the field of Children’s Literature, now having published several books.
