Foreign Rights

With more than 25 years of experience and over 60 titles published, Mónica Carretero tells her own bio as follows: “I was born in Madrid, the city where I live. Since I was very young my head has been like the Marx Brothers' cabin, or like a river of endless waters where I go fishing every morning when I have to start drawing and writing. That's why I never stop drawing characters and inventing stories. I am self-taught. I have learned by watching, reading, observing everything that surrounds me, being very curious, working hard and being full of illusion with each project. I draw lives, I invent lives. I talk to each of my characters while I dress them and comb their hair. They are my life. I don't think I could live without drawing, without imagining”.
