Foreign Rights

Petra Steinmeyer was born in Buenos Aires in 1953, where she studied Fine Arts. She has lived most of her life in Barcelona and has illustrated numerous children's and young adult books for Spanish and Argentinian publishers. She is also dedicated to animated films with her husband, having collaborated with children's programmes for RTVE and TV3 de Catalunya, and producing her own series such as CAPELITO, a plasticine mushroom for pre-school children, which has won many international awards. She has been a tutor and trainer of animation projects at the INCAA (National Film Institute of Argentina) and created the TALLER DEL ALBUM, from where she accompanies and advises online the creative development of picture book projects. She currently lives with one foot on each side of the Atlantic and writes and illustrates her own texts.
